The Grand Indochina - Days 1 - 7
Day 1 : London
Fly from London to Bangkok on Thai International.
Day 2 : Luang Prabang
After arrival connect to Luang Prabang and check in at the Villa Santi Hotel for three nights. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3 : Luang Prabang
Today begins by exploring the town's many pagodas and the National Museum - formerly the Royal Palace. Visit the local market and walk through the town to see the beautiful French colonial buildings. At sunset view the town and its surroundings atop Mount Phousi.
Day 4 : Luang Prabang
Enjoy a visit to the to Pak Ou caves, located in limestone cliffs at the confluence of the Mekong and Ou rivers. These caves are full of Buddha images of various styles and sizes collected over centuries. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 5 : Vientiane
Fly to Vientiane and check in at the Settha Palace for two nights. The rest of the day you are at leisure to explore the city on your own.
Day 6 : Vientiane
Today enjoy visits to Wat That Luang; Wat Si Muang; Haw Pha Kaew - once the royal temple of the Lao monarchy and now converted into a museum; Wat Si Saket - the oldest monastery in Laos and the bustling Talaat Sao market.
Day 7 : Halong Bay
Fly to Hanoi and drive to Halong Bay (3-4 hrs). Stay at the Halong Plaza hotel for the night. The rest of the day is free.
The Grand Indochina - Days 8 - 14
Day 8 : Hanoi
Enjoy a four-hour boat trip to explore Halong Bay, passing the hundreds of stunning limestone islands. Troi. Lunch is included. Stop at one of the islands to visit the illuminated grottoes. Later drive back to Hanoi and check in at the Sofitel Metropole hotel for two nights.
Day 9 : Hanoi
Today enjoy a visit to the Temple of Literature - Vietnam's first university, established in the 11th century, One Pillar Pagoda and Ngoc Son Temple, located on Hoan Kiem Lake. In the afternoon walk through Hanoi's Old Quarters, over a thousand years old, each of the 36 streets originally dedicated to selling different merchandise. Enjoy a water puppet show in the evening.
Day 10 : Hue
Take the morning flight to Hue and check in at the Saigon Morin hotel for the night. Visit the impressive Imperial tombs of Tu Duc- the longest reigning Vietnamese Emperor, and Khai Dinh - the last monument of the Nyugen dynasty. In the afternoon tour the Old Imperial City and also visit Thien Mu Pagoda before taking a boat on the Perfume River back to the hotel.
Day 11: Hoi An
Enjoy a morning drive to Danang crossing the picturesque Hai Van pass. Visit the Cham Museum which houses the finest examples of Cham art reflecting 1000 years of Hindu influence in Vietnam. Continue south past the Marble Mountains and picturesque villages to Hoi An. Check in at the Life Resort for two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 12 : Hoi An
Enjoy a morning excursion to My Son, a World Heritage Site, considered to be the Cham Kingdom's counterpart to Angkor and Bagan. In the afternoon take a walking tour of Hoi An. Visit Quan Cong Temple and Phuoc Kien Pagoda, also see some of the local ancestral houses which are a combination of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese styles.
Day 13 : Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning drive to Danang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City and check in at the deluxe Caravelle Hotel for two nights. Enjoy a visit to the Reunification Hall, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Chinatown, Thein Hau Pagoda and the lively Ben Thanh market.
Day 14 : Ho Chi Minh City
Enjoy an excursion to My Tho in the Mekong Delta with a boat trip on the Mekong.
The Grand Indochina - Days 15 - 20
Day 15 : Phnom Penh
In the morning fly to Phnom Penh for two nights at the Intercontinental hotel. In the afternoon visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum and the \'killing fields\' of Choeung Ek.
Day 16 : Phnom Penh
Enjoy a visit the National Museum, Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace and Wat Phnom.
Day 17 : Siem Reap
Fly to Siem Reap and check in at La Residence D\' Angkor or Victoria hotel for three nights. Visit the Angkor Thom and Bayon temples and enjoy a sunset view of the spectacular Angkor temples from Phnom Bakheng.
Day 18 : Siem Reap
Visit the Angkor Wat temples. then take a trip to the exquisitely carved Bantaey Srei temple and the jungle temple of Ta Phrom.
Day 19 : Siem Reap
Enjoy a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to see the floating villages. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 20 : London
Fly to Bangkok and change for London, arriving the same evening.
