Vietnam at a Glance - 15 Days
Days 1 - 3 : London - Bangkok - Saigon
Fly with British Airways to Bangkok for one night pre-tour accommodation with breakfast only. The following day fl y to Saigon, where we will be transferred to our hotel by our National Escort.
Day 4 : Mekong Delta - My Tho
We explore the Mekong Delta, a region nestled along the river and dotted with rice paddies and fruit plantations. We take various boat trips amongst the smaller tributaries to visit local floating markets, villages, home industries and plantations.
Day 5 : Saigon
Visit the Presidential Palace, War Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, Cholon, Ben Thanh Markets and Tien Hau Pagoda.
Day 6 : Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels - Tay Ninh
Today we explore the famous Cu Chi tunnels then continue to Tay Ninh to experience the midday service at the head temple of the unique Cao Dai religion.
Days 7 - 8 : Hoi An
This morning we board our flight to Danang and transfer to the UNESCO listed town of Hoi An stopping at the Cham Museum en route. Tonight we enjoy a cooking lesson in one of the local restaurants. Tomorrow we undertake a walking tour of the old centre of Hoi An. We visit an old merchant home home still lived in by descendents of the original merchant, the Japanese Bridge, Hoi An market and a local Chinese pagoda and assembly hall, yet still have time to soak up the charming atmosphere of Hoi An and the Thu Bon River.
Day 9 : Hoi An - Hue
Leaving Hoi An, we visit Marble Mountains and China Beach before continuing over Hai Van Pass to the ancient capital of Hue. This afternoon visit the UNESCO listed Citadel.
Day 10 : Hue - Hanoi
We take a cruise on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda and then visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Tombs. In the afternoon we board our flight to Hanoi. This evening enjoy a performance of the famous Water Puppets.
Day 11 : Hanoi
Our city tour today includes visits to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, stilt house and museum, Temple of Literature, a walking tour of the Old Quarter and markets, Hoan Kiem Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Ethnology Museum and One Pillar Pagoda.
Day 12 : Hanoi - Halong Bay
Today we travel to Halong Bay and cruise through spectacular scenery whilst enjoying our seafood meal onboard. After our cruise we travel back to Hanoi.
Day 13 : Hanoi - Bangkok
Transfer to the airport for our onward flight to Bangkok. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a day at leisure to experience this exciting city as you wish. (Breakfast only in Bangkok.)
Days 14 - 15 : Bangkok - London
A full day at leisure before boarding our overnight flight to the UK.
